The Wall Street Journal reports that many of the victims of the crash have recovered from their physical injuries to discover that the emotional trauma of the plane crash still lingers.

San Francisco cycling and pedestrian safety advocates are in a large dust-up with the SF Fire Department. The dispute hinges on the Fire Department’s opposition to bulb-outs and other safety improvements designed to protect bikers and pedestrians from cars.

Street racer crashes into San Jose home

Authorities say that an illegal street race ended in a car accident on Tuesday morning.

KTVU-TV reports that the accident happened shortly after 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday on the 3300 Block of Cropley Avenue.

Witnesses say that two cars driving at a high rate of speed when a third vehicle entered the roadway. One of the drag racers crashed into the vehicle and ten flew into a house.

Man crashes into San Jose Walmart, attacks shoppers

The San Francisco Chronicle reports that 33-year-old Haamid Zaid crashed his red Oldsmobile Cutlass into the store and then procedure to assault customers. The man reportedly has a history of drug-related crimes.

Shoppers tackled Zaid and held the intoxicated man until authorities arrived. One person was hospitalized after the incident but no one was killed.

Dolan Law Firm fights to save life of Jahi McMath

Chris Dolan was recently featured on CNN’s Piers Morgan program with the family of 13-year-old Jahi McMath.

The middle school student suffered complications during routine tonsil surgery at Children’s Hospital & Research Center in Oakland, California.

The girl’s mother says that Jahi was moved to the hospital’s ICU after her surgery and that the family was denied access to the 8th grader for 30 minutes. When the family was finally able to see Jahi, she was bleeding profusely.

Popular HGTV host dies in San Fran Motorcycle Accident

A co-host of the popular HGTV show “Curb Appeal” was declared dead after being involved in a San Francisco motorcycle accident.

Fox News reports that 38-year-old Bill Beckwith was killed when his motorcycle was hit by a car in the Haight-Ashbury neighborhood.

The host’s death may draw attention to the dangers that motorcyclists across the Bay Area face on the road. Motorcycle accident injuries are among the most severe types of traffic accident injuries seen in San Francisco hospitals. Motorcyclists typically suffer severe trauma, including head injuries, from similar crashes.

Huge jury award sends clear message, safety advocates say

Next time you’re tempted to blow trough a red traffic light, consider this: A San Francisco jury last week told a red-light-runner to cough up $867,135.

On June 23, 1998 Valeria Kumin of 16th Avenue was headed north on South Van Ness Avenue when she ran through a red light and struck an automobile driven by Scott Street resident Marie France Cesar, which had entered the intersection through a green light from a full stop on 14th Street.

Planned Parenthood told to pay $672,610 for botched abortion

A jury has ordered a Planned Parenthood clinic to pay $672,610 in damages to a San Francisco woman who received a botched abortion of her twins.

One fetus, was aborted during the woman’s visit, but the other twin was partially dismembered and left alive in the womb, according to testimony before San Francisco Superior Court Judge Douglas Munson.
