The former chief financial officer of Amazon.com was killed in a bicycle accident last Wednesday. The San Francisco Chronicle reports that 50-year-old Joy Covey was riding her bike in Woodside, California, when she was killed.

Authorities say that the man was biking shortly before 7 a.m. yesterday morning when he was run over by a Recology garbage truck driving in the same direction.
