British motorcycle manufacturer Triumph has announced a recall of several of its motorcycles because of potential tire bearing problems. Triumph Motorcycles America LTD said that the wheel bearings are of an “unknown” quality and can therefore expose riders to motorcycle accidents.

Former baseball star and popular Christian radio talk show host Frank Pastore is still in a coma after a serious California motorcycle accident. Pastore was involved in a crash on Nov. 19, when a driver sideswiped him in Duarte, California.

A 41-year-old Brentwood father was killed last week in a severe Byron motorcycle accident. Authorities say that the crash happened shortly after 4 p.m. last Monday when a tractor began a left-hand turn on Byron Highway near Bruns Road.

Rock star Mitchell Lucker was recently killed in a California motorcycle accident. The 28-year-old was the frontman of the death metal band “Suicide Silence.” Lucker released three albums with the band, the last of which was a top 30 hit on the U.S. Billboard Album Charts. Motorcyclists are among the most vulnerable individuals on area roads. Many California motorcycle accidents occur because cars suddenly enter the path of a motorcycle and the motorcyclist does not have the time or ability to respond without laying the bike or crashing into the car.

CBS San Francisco reports that a motorcyclist suffered life-threatening head trauma Friday evening after a Castro District traffic accident. The crash happened shortly before 8 p.m. when the motorcyclist unsuccessfully attempted to pass a vehicle and collided head-on with an oncoming car.

A Los Angeles Man recently sued motorcycle brake manufacturer after suffering serious personal injuries in a highway motorcycle crash. The motorcyclist alleges that the accident was caused by a defective motorcycle brake lever which he purchased from a Los Angeles motorcycle parts store called Cycle Trends.

Two California motorcycle racing gear manufacturers were recently sued by a Motocross racer who was allegedly injured when a neck brace failed. The motorcyclist filed suit in Los Angeles County last week alleging that he sustained serious and permanent personal injuries due to a defective Leatt Moto GPX neck brace manufactured and distributed by Leatt

In our last post we discussed a fatal accident involving a motorcyclist who was being chased by a car driven by his ex-girlfriend. Although the motorcyclist was able to escape injury in that crash, two Merced County residents did not survive their motorcycle accidents earlier this week.

A San Francisco man was killed last Wednesday after a motorcycle accident in the Golden Gate Park. The Bay City News reports that accident happened on Park Presidio Boulevard shortly before 8 p.m. on Wednesday.
