At the Dolan Law Firm we love our bikes. Whether cruiser or fixed gear, 500cc or scooter, we probably have someone in our office who rides it.
Our firm had a great weekend at the Laguna Seca. The race was awesome and a lot people entered to win the “Bone Bike.” You can check out the complete set of photos from our weekend on our Flickr page.
As most people know biking is booming in San Francisco. New ways to ride, and new trends for riders are popping up everywhere. One of the newest fads is the “Slow Bike Movement.” A “lifestyle” of sorts for riders who want to relax and get to know their neighbors while they cruise. Sound like fun? Read more about this movement in San Francisco, here.
For those of you who ride to work in The City, you may be familiar with “The Wiggle”. Those of you who aren’t might want to check out this piece by C.W. Nevius in SFgate.
The Wiggle, according to Nevius is: “a route from Market Street to the Panhandle that avoids our notoriously steep hills – one of the main obstacles that discourages people from biking San Francisco.”
Unfortunately hills aren’t the only hazards faced by cyclists in San Francisco. A recent rash of bad accidents involving, cyclists, pedestrians, and cars has left a number of commuters critically injured, and in some cases resulted in fatalities.
One of the hottest spots for bike accidents includes Market Street, the same street our firm is located. As the city continues to adjust to make its streets more accessible to cyclists, we remind those of you who ride to be safe, and remember; cyclists have the same rights and responsibilities as drivers.
