Last week we discussed a fatal Twin Peaks Vista Point car accident which left several pedestrians injured and one woman dead. Authorities caught the driver in that crash and have charged the 23-year-old San Francisco woman with drunk driving and vehicular manslaughter.
The San Francisco Chronicle also reports that additional hit-and-run charges were also filed against the woman. Police say that the driver fled the scene of the pedestrian accident and was found a nearby parking lot.
The woman allegedly hit a group of pedestrians around 9 p.m. last Thursday. Three of the pedestrians were hit and sent flying down the hillside. A fourth passenger managed to dive out of the way of the drunk woman’s car. Medics had to use ropes to reach the badly injured pedestrians on the hillside.
Authorities also arrested two of the woman’s passengers, males ages 22 and 25, for public intoxication. The fourth passenger was a 17-year-old who reportedly suffered minor injuries in the crash and was taken to the hospital.
It is unclear whether the teen was also intoxicated because the driver was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor and endangering the health of a minor.
