One person was killed and two others were injured in a serious San Francisco car accident last night.
The Bay City News Service reports that the single-car crash happened shortly after 10 p.m. on Interstate 80.
Officer Peter Van Eckert told reporters that the car crashed into a wall near the Fifth Street off-ramp. There were three people in the vehicle at the time of the crash.
Emergency crews found one person not breathing at the scene. They performed CPR on the person and rushed the car accident victim to a nearby hospital where that person was pronounced dead. Officer Van Eckert did not know the conditions of the other two people.
Authorities report that the decreased person was a passenger in the vehicle.
It is unclear what caused the driver to lose control of their vehicle. Similar accidents are attributable to driver distraction, fatigue and intoxication.
