Four teenage girls were killed and two others critically injured in a tragic SUV crash Friday evening in rural West Marin, according to the California Highway Patrol. All six occupants, aged 14 to 16, were students at Archie Williams High School in San Anselmo. The crash occurred Friday April, 18, 2025 around 7:30 p.m. on San Geronimo Valley Road, south of Sir Francis Drake Boulevard. Authorities say the vehicle veered off the road and struck a tree near the shoulder. Three of the teens were pronounced dead at the scene, while a fourth died later at a hospital. The two surviving passengers remain hospitalized in critical condition. Emergency crews from CHP, the Marin County Sheriff’s Office, and Marin County Fire Department responded swiftly to the scene. The incident has deeply shaken the local school and community. CHP officials say the cause of the crash is still under investigation and are asking anyone with information to come forward.
