Two California teens were recently killed in a rollover crash in Vacaville.

CBS San Francisco reports that the accident happened last Saturday afternoon around 5:30 p.m.

Witnesses say that a group of five teens were riding in a white 1997 Chevy pickup truck. The driver lost control of the vehicle while going up a curve. The truck left the road and rolled several times into a field.

All of the teens were ejected from the vehicle. The 19-year-old driver of the truck died of severe head trauma. He was pronounced dead at the scene. A 16-year-old female passenger died of her injuries at the Kaiser Permanente Vacaville Medical Center.

Authorities say that alcohol may have been a contributing factor in this crash and that none of the teens were believed to have been wearing seat belts.

Car accidents are the leading killer of California teens. Common contributing factors to teen crashes include speed, distraction and intoxication.
