Chrysler recalls 2.7 million Jeeps due to fire risk

Chrysler Group recently recalled 2.7 million Jeeps, reversing its initial opposition to government pressure surrounding the recall. The recall impact Jeep Grand Cherokees made from 1993 to 2004 and Jeep Libertys made from 2002 to 2007.

Three injured when big rig crashes into MUNI train

Three people were injured earlier this week when big rig crashed into a MUNI train. Authorities say that the accident happened around 6 p.m. on Sunday when a truck made an illegal turn and hit a light rail car.

The truck was reportedly making a prohibited U-turn on the corner of Burke Avenue and Third Street. Three of the train passengers received minor injuries that did not require hospitalization. Regular train service was interrupted for about three hours after the crash.

Fire Erupts at Richmond Chevron Refinery

Residents in Richmond, California are being told to shelter in place after a fire broke out at the Chevron refinery shortly after 6:30 p.m. this evening. Warning sirens are ringing throughout the Richmond area and a thick black smoke cloud is visible for miles.
